When Geoff Fox first started the Fox Company under the name Moto-X Fox it started as a small distribution business for motocross parts and accessories. Within 2 years of the company launching, they were making high-performance suspension and engine components for racers looking for an advantage on the track.

When 1977 hit Geoff Fox made his own motocross team to show how his parts could give the advantage, and he then proved that with his team finishing fifth, sixth and seventh in the AMA 125cc National Championship Series.

As the next 30 years went on Fox took over the motocross world, with big named riders such as Evgeny Bobryshev, Ken Roczen, Chad Reed & Ryan Dungey currently wearing the kits, and riders such as Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath and Travis Pastrana still endorsing the clothing and winning over 40 national championship titles wearing it, Fox will remain one of the most popular motocross clothing companies in the world.
