Arai

Arai are solely a motorcycle helmet manufacturer from Japan. The founder of Arai, Hirotake Arai opened his first factory in 1937 in Ohmiya Saitama and was originally started making headgears, for example worker helmets.

It wasn't until 1952 when the first batch of motorcycle helmets where produced for Off Road racers. As the years went on and Arai started getting a name, they also started exporting to the United States. It wasn't until 1967 when the first Japanese made full face model was created. In 1977 Arai Helmets (USA) was established.

Arai's name continued to get bigger throughout the years, even to the point in 1986 when 26 out of 28 Formula 1 drivers were wearing the helmets.

Arai helmets are now spread across sports around the world, most notable in Motorcycle racing where some of the biggest stars including Dani Pedrosa, Cal Crutchlow, Nicky Hayden, Johnny Rea & Leon Haslam are now wearing them. With more riders, more models and better designs being released, Arai Helmets will continue to be seen all over the world.
