This week’s racing was courtesy of Tameside MXC, although the club members had worked hard to prepare the track for the days racing, the dry weather we have been experiencing lately has lead to shortage of water so the riders were only able to race two blocks.

The glorious weather brought the crowds down to Brogden Hall to watch some fabulous racing. Experts unlimited kicked off the day’s racing with Rob Clitheroe as usual taking charge of the field. With two convincing wins, Rob led the pack from the start gate to take the chequered flag in both of his races with ease. Lee Buck joined his team mate on the start gate, Lee also had a fantastic days racing to join his team mate on the trophy podium. Following two good starts Lee chased Rob to the finish line to take two second places. Good result for the team as the overall positions for MX1 experts were Rocket riders first and second with Edmund Mossop taking the overall third place.

Overall positions for MX2 experts were Steven Gardham in first place, Anthony Astley in second and Gareth Harvey from the Rossendale club taking the overall third place trophy.

There will not be a North West meeting next week but for those who are able, and fancy a few days away, get your selves down to Landrake for the British Masters. This is defiantly going to be a fantastic weekend of racing. The next North West meeting will take place on 11^th July 2010 at Eskham House Farm as Preston hold their second meeting of the season; this is your last chance to race before the start of the North West Championships which begins on 18^th July at Rossendale. Please contact the Rocket centre prior to this meeting to see if they will be at this event.
