The second round of the North West Championship came courtesy of Leigh MX club; the club members had worked really hard on the track to ensure it was fit for racing. I do believe at the beginning of the week it was under water, this goes to show just how much effort had been put in by the club to ensure the racing took place.

Rocket rider Aaron Crowder represented the team in the MX 1 expert’s class. With a fantastic start to his first race, Aaron took the chequered flag with ease. Aaron took the third position in his second and third races as he did not get the start he would have wishes for. The racing that followed was fantastic to watch as Aaron remained on the back tyre of Michael Reynolds who just piped him to second place. The overall winner was Michael Reynolds with Aaron Crowder in second and Edmund Mossop in third.

MX 2 experts saw young Ryan Crowder with all the race skills of his dad. In race one; Ryan took the race win after battling hard with Matt Williamson. Race two and three where almost a carbon copy of each other as Ryan chases Matt round the track to take second place in both these races. Matt Williamson took the overall race win with Ryan Crowder in second and Adrian Betney in third.

Please be aware there will no AMCA North West races next week, 1^st August 2010 and the meeting scheduled to run on 8^th August by Ashton Vale at Brogden Hall Farm has unfortunately had to be cancelled. The next AMCA North West meeting is due to be held on 15^th August 2010 at Turnover Farm as Blackpool holds the third round of the NW championships.
